Have you ever been interested in exploring the crafts of history?  Or modern crafts?  We have strived to learn about these crafts as well as to teach them.  From weaving, pottery, knitting, and crochet, to leather work and metal smithing.  We have a talented group of artists who love to work in these areas and share their knowledge with others.  If you are interested, please join us at one of our meetings.  We meet twice a month in Mascoutah, Illinois.  See details below, and please come visit!

Upcoming meetings:

February 8th: This will be a special meeting, because we have a guest speaker, Djuana Tucker, that will demonstrate quill embroidery.  Check out her Facebook page here.

February 29th: (Happy Leap Year!) This will be a business meeting.  This is a great meeting to come to if you want to learn what we’ll be doing during the year, and hear all our great ideas!  Bring a project if you’d like, it’s mostly a chat session, but is a great time to find out what we are up to.  All our meetings are open to the public.

March 14th:   This week we are learning about different types of weaving.  We’ll have a lot of different types of looms, and some you can even try your hand at, to learn what it’s like to do some weaving.  This is a great opportunity if you’ve even considered weaving, but were intimidated by what it takes to get started.

Upcoming Events:

Other places to find us:

Vine Street Farmer’s Market: (O’Fallon, IL)  We are here several times during the season.

We have various other demonstrations during the year.  Check back and we’ll keep you posted where to find us.

Our Meetings

6:30 pm to 8:30 pm
Please come and join us!

We currently meet two times per month:

Activity meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.  We usually have a project to work on, or a speaker.  Feel free to bring your own project to work on.

General Meetings are held the last Thursday of each month, except November and December. This is a good meeting to attend to get an overview of what we do, and meet most of the members.

We hope to see you there!
